Avoid these Fall Season Home Repair Accidents

With the cold winter months closing in, it won’t be long before you begin to ready your home.

While there’s nothing wrong with tackling this process in the near future, here’s something to remember: you don’t want to do anything that will jeopardize your health.

Here are three fall season home repair accidents to avoid at all costs:

·      Fall from a ladder. You may find yourself on a ladder for many reasons, such as to check your gutters or clean your siding. Your safety should always come first when using a ladder, as one fall can cause serious injury.

·      Back or neck injury from heavy lifting and/or too much pushing or pulling. An example of this would be attempting to move porch furniture from the outdoors to the indoors on your own.

·      Overexertion. Just because it’s getting cooler doesn’t mean you can push yourself to your limits. You can still become dehydrated and overexerted, even if the temperatures are nowhere near as hot as they were during the summer months.

These are just a few of the many fall season home repair accidents that could cause serious injury. Don’t let one of these sneak up on you in the months to come.
