Pond Roofing & Exteriors has successfully helped Northern Virginia customers with their residential exterior remodeling needs for over 60 years. When Bob Pond founded the company in 1964, he wanted to offer an exceptional roofing experience to his Northern Virginia neighbors based on the quality of work being performed. The company culture was built on getting the work done right – which has remained a key component. In 2001, Bob’s daughter, Betsy, took over as his successor. She brought about a new level of customer service and focused on enhancing her customers’ experiences by updating and improving Pond’s systems and processes. By 2002, in addition to roofing, she was able to offer siding, window and door solutions to Pond’s customers.
In 2010, Betsy brought on Patrick Readyhough to take the company’s service offerings to the next level. Together, Betsy and Patrick fine-tuned Pond’s operations to increase the overall quality of our customers’ experience—including extra training for installers and estimators, an updated scheduling system and additional points of communication throughout the Pond production process. In 2012, Patrick bought Pond from Betsy who stayed on as an advisor and to assist with marketing.
Today, Pond is a full service exterior remodeler offering roofing, window, siding, door, gutter and skylight solutions. The company has won Angie’s List Super Service Awards every year since 2007 in multiple categories, has won CertainTeed’s Diamond Award for the second time and was twice named one of the area’s best contractors by Washingtonian Magazine.
Some of Pond’s employees have been with us for over 20 years and others have been with us for between 5 and 10 years. Over half of our business is generated through referrals or repeat business. We maintain long-term relationships with our prior customers—having put on second- and third-generation roofs for second- and third-generation families. Pond’s thousands of satisfied customers, certifications and many awards support our mission to provide unmatched quality workmanship with outstanding customer service.
