Holiday Decorating Safety Tips
With the holiday season in full swing, there’s a good chance you’re spending time decorating your home (and maybe even your office or place of employment).
While this can be a lot of fun, you don’t want to take a risk with your safety, health, and well-being. Here are some tips that can keep you safe:
• Practice safe ladder use: For example, always place your ladder on firm and level ground. Also, keep three points of contact at all times.
• Beware of electrical hazards: Maybe you find that an extension cord has a tear in it. Or maybe one of your electrical outlets is coming loose from the wall. Don’t take risks with electricity, as it can lead to electrocution and fires.
• Always blow out candles: When you’re not in the room, make sure you blow out candles. Leaving them lit increases the risk of a fire.
These are just a few of the many holiday decorating safety tips you can follow over the next month. Do you have any others to add to the list?
