There is More Than One Type of Storm Damage

When a severe storm rolls through your area this summer, all you can do is cross your fingers and hope that your home doesn’t suffer any damage.

Unfortunately, you can only do so much to stop this from happening.

Since you don’t have control over Mother Nature, you’ll want to better understand the many types of storm damage. This way, you know what to look for after the storm passes and you’re able to inspect your home.

Consider the following:

· Roof damage. For example, strong winds could tear shingles from your roof, all of which need to be replaced as soon as possible.

· Siding damage. Just the same as your roof, your vinyl siding could be pulled away from your home. A fast repair is a must, as you don’t want future rain to damage your home.

· Hail damage. Hail can damage many parts of your home, from the roof to the windows (and that’s just the start).

There is no way of knowing if your home will suffer any damage in a storm. As you hope for the best, don’t shy away from inspecting your property when it is safe to do so.
