How to Know if Your Home’s Gutters Need Replaced

Oct 14, 2015

Do you have reason to believe that your home’s gutters need replaced? Is it time to make this decision once and for all? If you find yourself in this position, you don’t want to get ahead of yourself. Instead, you need to consider the following details:

1. Cracks or splits. Small cracks and splits may not seem like a big deal right now, but it can become a big problem over time. It is important to deal with such issues as soon as they become visible.

2. Pools of water near the foundation of your home. If you recognize this, it means the gutters are not moving water away from the home, as intended. It is important to solve this problem as soon as possible, as leaving it untouched can damage your home.

3. Gutters pulling away from your home. Gutters should never pull away from your home or sag. A simple visual inspection will tell you whether or not this is a problem.

Just because you recognize one or more of these problems does not necessarily mean your gutter’s need replaced. However, there is a good chance it is time to take on this project.

If you have any questions about your current gutters, if you are ready to make a change, contact us for professional advice. We are more than happy to visit your home, tell you  what we think, and provide you with all the information you need to make a confident decision.
